Note:  It appears the hangar was built c.2011.

Note:  The first four pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©. The local area and area views are from my Google Earth © derived database.

Location:  Just WSW of Gainsford End village, roughly 1nm N of RAF WETHERSFIELD, 2.5nm NE of Finchingfield

Period of operation: Probably around 2000 (?) to -

Runway:  05/23   370   grass

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide' to thank for pointing out this location. As always, if anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be most welcome. Pictures are always much appreciated.

Graham has since pointed out, in November 2024, that the de Havilland DH60G Gipsy Moth has been based here. Once part of the Shuttleworth Collection at OLD WARDEN from 08.04.93 until 22.01.04, it was then acquired by the Wood family who have based it here.
