Gillingham Hall

GILLINGHAM HALL: Private helipad

Location: Near to the junction with the Yarmouth Road and Raveningham Road, in or near Raveningham village, roughly 4.5nm NNW of Beecles and approximately 10nm from Lowestoft town centre.

Period of operation: In 2015 the Google Earth picture was dated 2006 and no sign of the helipad is visible.

NOTES: The information, including a picture of the helipad, comes from the AAIB report EW/C2014/03/02. This concerned the fatal crash of the Agusta Westland AW139 (G-LBAL) shortly after taking off at night and in fog.
