NOTES: On the 18th September 2002, my good friend James Roland and I set out to land the Cessna FR172F 'Reims Rocket' floatplane G-DRAM on the 'A-to-Z' of Scottish Lochs in one day. My role was to take notes and pictures and produce an article for FLYER magazine. See LOCH EARN for a list of all the Lochs landed on that day - twenty nine in all. GLENCOE on Loch Leven was not one of our 'A-to-Z' destinations, but a diversion to refuel. A friend, Tim Crumpton,  had very kindly towed a fuel bowser across from LOCH EARN to GLENCOE so that we could uplift enough fuel to complete the task.

The people at Glencoe were delighted to help and asked us to visit again as often as we wished.

Figuring out how to safely refuel G-DRAM from this pontoon quay was not an easy task, as we had of course fuel tanks in both wings.
