Note: This picture taken by Ms Sonia Harvey was scanned from the February/March edition of Popular Flying magazine, 1996. The caption was: "Glenforsa (Mull) is surely one of the most beautiful destinations in the UK." An opinon hard to disagree with I would reckon.

AN UNFORTUNATE OCCURENCE
It appears that following a serious accident involving a Cessna 172 in September 2012, the airfield was closed and didn’t reopen until Easter 2013.

A PERSONAL MEMORY
I never did get to land at GLENFORSA although it had been on my wish list for years. So many pilots visiting the western part of Scotland call in here and all seem to recall fond memories. The only time I saw GLENFORSA was when my very good friend James Roland and I were doing our "A-to-Z" of Scottish Lochs flight in one day, on the 18th September 2002. On the way round he treated me to a low pass in the Cessna 172 Reims Rocket floatplane G-DRAM .
