Location: Just N of Polesden Lacy, 3nm SW of Leatherhead town centre
Period of operation: 2007(?) to -
Runway: (2018) 16/34 350 grass
NOTES: I have Mr Graham Frost, a good friend of this 'Guide' to thank for pointing this airstrip out. I am quite sure I would never have found it left to my own devices.
The strip is interesting in as much as it looks like, judging from Google Earth images over the last twenty years, that the apparently defined runway is a fairly recent feature. It looks like the strip may well have moved around across the this field over the years. Also, I am basing my estimate of how long it has been in operation around the appearance of the hangar. It could of course have been used for several years previously?
If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.
