Gourock

This map only gives the location for the town within the UK.

GOUROCK:  Temporary airfield?

Military user:   RAF

654 Sqdn    (Taylorcraft Plus C.2s & Taylorcraft Austers, Mk.1s & Mk.IIIs)

Location: The town of Gourock is on the south side of the River Clyde, about 3nm WNW of the centre of Greenock

NOTES:  I have found a mention that after being based at RAF BOTTISHAM (CAMBRIDGESHIRE), during WW2, this Squadron then moved to GOUROCK.

Can anybody provide more information about this? And of course, where the airfield was located?
