Location: S of the Gransha Road, at Milltown, roughly 3nm NW of Rathfriland

Period of operation:  Early 2000s (?) to -
 

Runway: 18/36   350   grass
Note: A look at Google Earth in 2017 (image date 2008) shows the runway to be 17/35 and 400 metres long.

 

NOTES: It was reported in 2010 that two Piper Tri-Pacers and the Aeronca 7AC Champ G-AVDT were based here.

This picture shows something quite unusual in that the northern two thirds of the runway appear to have been ploughed up, although if you look closely, signs of the runway still exist. So, was it still being used? With the runway perhaps being rolled?

As always in this 'Guide', if anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.
