Note: This map only shows the position of Great Leighs village within the UK

GREAT LEIGHS: Private airstrip

Location: Roughly 4nm SW to SSW of Braintree town centre

Period of operation: ?

Runway: 09/27 550x25 grass

NOTES: A search around the area on Google Earth, back to 2000, failed to show any sign of this airstrip. But it could of course have existed long before this facility was available. If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be much appreciated.
