GREAT THORNES FARM: Private airstrip

Location: NW of Swaffham

NOTES: The secondary info source was from the AAIB report EW/G2014/03/20.

I have landed here, in the Cessna 172 G-AXBH on the 3rd of May 1993. We, (with my fellow flying friend Guy Browning), had called in at LITTLE SNORING and enquired where we might visit on the way home to TOP FARM. Somebody suggested we'd be welcome to land here without PPR (Prior Permission Required) and the location was marked on our chart, which we easily located flying back. On landing not a soul could be found to 'book in' or to pay a landing fee; so, after scratching our ears and backsides we climbed back in and departed.

SPELLING
It now appears that this site is known as GREAT THORNS FARM. A look at a Google Earth image dated 2006 shows no evidence of this airstrip. But I still feel a bit troubled about this. Could anybody offer advice?
