Great Shefford

Note: This map only gives the location of Great Shefford within the UK. If anybody can provide a more exact location, this will be most welcome.

GREAT SHEFFORD: Military emergency landing ground

Location: Near A338 & Great Shefford, roughly 5 to 6nm NE of Hungerford

Period of operation:  1940 to 1945

NOTES: With around 5,000 flying sites to list, and in early 2016 less than 2,000 completed - I cannot afford the time for detailed investigation of a site such as this. However, I have been rather surprised by the paucity of information available. If anybody could be kind enough to add some basic information this will be much appreciated.
