Gregorys Farm

Note: This map only gives a rough location within the UK. If anybody can kindly give a more precise position of the venue used, this advice will be most welcome.

GREGORYS FARM: Temporary aerodrome (see also WHITCHURCH)

Operated by: Alan Cobham’s 1933 No.1 Tour of the UK

Location: Ash Hall SE of Whitchurch. Between Ash Magna and Prees Heath

Period of operation: 9th September 1933

Runways: Probably unknown,  it appears the site measured in total sixty acres

NOTES: On road maps today the village of Ash Magna is situated 2.5nm SE of Whitchurch so it seems reasonable to suppose Ash Hall was situated between here and Whitchurch. To add a little confusion the itinerary of the 1922 Berkshire Aviation Co UK tour gives their Whitchurch venue as being Ash Road, Whitchurch. As eleven years separate these two tours it seems a tad unlikely they both used the same site - but do you know more?
