Note: Some years ago I made this comment: "Having spent some time looking into this site, I only feel fairly confident that this map gives the exact location. Any advice will be most welcome." In 2020 I looked at this site again, with the advice below, and have amended the listing.
GROVE FARM: Private airstrip

This picture was scanned from the April 2018 AAIB Bulletin and was taken by an AAIB UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) popularly known as drones.
Location: In/near Wolvey which is on the B4065 roughly 3.5nm S of Hinckley town centre and SE of Nuneaton
Runway: 11/29 350x14 grass
NOTES: The initial info source for this strip was the AAIB report EW/G2011/06/14 which oddly enough states the strip is in Leicestershire. It is always a mistake to be absolutely certain about anything regarding place names and locations but I’m pretty certain there isn’t a Wolvey in Leicestershire. But maybe you know better?

This comment was written on: 2017-12-17 17:12:55Wolvey is geographically located in Warwickshire, although the postal address is Hinckley, Leicestershire, and it has Leicestershire postcodes. I think this should help clarify. The airfield is at the end of Wolds Lane, Wolvey and it will have a Leicestershire postcode.

Is this farm strip actually still active and if so is there hangerage ? Can anyone clarify please. I live near Hinckley so it would be perfect. Best regards Paul.
