Location: Just S of the A3, on the junction with Manor Way and High View Road, about 1.5nm WSW of Guildford town centre

Period of operation:  circa 1955


NOTES:   I have Mr Graham Frost to thank for this information. He tells us that the building complex had a reinforced roof to operate a helicopter service to and from London. What we need to remember was that in 1955 the road journey into London was via a tortuous and very congested route. Nothing like it is today.

If anybody can kindly offer more advice, this will be much appreciated.
