Location:  Just SW of Lillingstone Lovell village, E of the A413, about 2nm SE to ESE of SILVERSTONE

Period of operation:  Unknown? Still operating in 2021

Runways:  This is quite a rare example of the runway(s) not being clearly defined.

The 2004 picture above appears to show a runway:  11/29   450   grass

But: The 2005 picture appears to show a runway, possibly reinforced with gravel (?) :  11/29   270

By 2009 it appears a 11/29 grass runway of around 450 metres was being used.

However, at some later point another runway was added :  12/30   360   grass   (This being about half-way along the existing 11/29 runway)

NOTE:  As always in this 'Guide' if anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.

It also goes to prove just how questionable my self-imposed definition of an airfield can be. It being based on an airstrip being just that - one strip singular. If two or more runways exist - it is an airfield. In this case, I cannot understand why the second 12/30 runway was added? Possibly drainage problems with the main 11/29 runway?
