Location:  Just ESE of junction 1 on the M5, about 3.5nm NW of Birmingham city centre, roughly 4nm SSE of Walsall town centre

Period of operation: 1930s
 

NOTES: It appears they started flying on the 26th December 1934 using a Prufling plus a privately owned Falcon and by May 1935 had forty-nine members.

In October 2021 I was kindly contacted by Mr Christopher Warr who tells us that his father, aged 92, remembers it well. As a lad in WW2 he used to play on the airfield, then disused, although there were still aircraft in the hangar. The airfield was located on what is now Handsworth Golf Club. (Pictures now added)
