A MICHAEL T HOLDER GALLERY

We have Mike Holder, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for discovering this venue. It was the 12th venue in the the British Hospitals Air Pageant tour in 1933 which it appears visited 150 locations. Far short of the 200 venues they proclaimed they would visit when the tour commenced.

Note:  The picture in the Daily Mirror was published on the 22nd April 1933. A newspaper which has of course a proud tradition of employing reporters not in the slightest bit averse to distorting a story to their own ends. Without any doubt these two ladies flew both in and out of this venue. The local area view is from my Google Earth © derived database.

Probably we will never know if this location was only ever used by the British Hospitals Air Pageant tour in 1933?
