Location: In middle of racecourse, 0.5nm E of A49, 1nm NE of junction 23 (M.6), 4 nm NNW of Warrington

NOTES: The venue (16th August 1936) for British Empire Air Display Tour of the UK was given as Haydock Park, Ashton-in-Makerfield. Given that the position of HAYDOCK PARK is given as 4nm NNW of Warrington in a 2000 flight guide that would make it about 2nm SSW of Ashton-in-Makerfield. So I assume I’m correct in thinking these two sites are the same. But do you know better?
