Heatherstacks

HEATHERSTACKS: Temporary aerodrome?

Operated by: Alan Cobham’s 1932 National Aviation Day UK Display Tour

Location: Brechin Road, NE of Forfar

Period of operation: 29th September 1932

NOTES: When making this entry in November 2016 I found that there is a Heatherstacks Farm on the B9128 just north of Forfar, and this is shown on the Google map.

However, as farms can often be rather large in area, it is entirely feasible that the field rented for this Cobham tour was indeed adjacent to the Brechin Road; which is I assume the road now known as the Old Brechin Road.

If anybody can kindly confirm that this is correct, the advice will be much appreciated.
