HIGH FIELDS: A possible private airstrip?

NOTES: The AAIB report EW/G2008/07/24 fails to make the point clear as to exactly what airstrip the pilot of the Freeman CAN Jabiru SK G-BYFC actually landed on. The report states, “Near High Fields, The Heywood, Diss Norfolk.” This site having a 300 metre runway. It appears the pilot had intended to land at “a private strip, 600 metres long, approximately one mile west of TIBENHAM aerodrome in NORFOLK.” This would be PRIORY FARM.

To be fair to the AAIB, who can only record information received, and having looked at the history available on Google Earth, I could find no evidence of a distinct 300 metre strip. But of course, some strips are laid out for very short periods, and Google Earth images, which can have a long time interval, are easily missed. I did find one possible site, a tad short of 300 metres just north of the marker I have made.

If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be much appreciated.
