HINGHAM: WW1 aerodrome, later microlight strip?

NOTES: An AAIB report EW/G2009/03/19 states that the microlight strip at HINGHAM is about 4 miles to the NW of GREAT ELLINGHAM microlight strip which would put it near Cranworth village?

Histories of 100 and 102 Squadrons state that in WW1 they were formed and/or based at HINGHAM in NORFOLK. 102 Sqdn were trained on F.E.2bs and F.E.2d types before going to France. It is claimed that 100 Squadron, possibly also flying F.E.2b types, were the first to be trained as a night bombing unit before going to France. However, they were it seems also moved to SPITTLEGATE (LINCOLNSHIRE) to be re-equipped with Vickers Vimys and Airco Dh.9As, and use of these types for night bombing makes much more sense.

Could it be that the WW1 and later microlight site are on the same location?
