Hoccum Hall

HOCCUM HALL: Private helicopter base?

Location: All I can find is that Hoccum Hall is situated between the A454 & A458 ESE of Bridgnorth (see NOTES below)

Period of operation: 1980s only?

NOTES:  Can anybody add more information regarding this location? Hoccum Hall does not seem to appear on any search I have made. However, looking into this a bit closer, and I might well be mistaken of course, I now think that "Hoccum Hall" is probably Stanmore Hall on Hoccum Farm.

A PERSISTANT PROBLEM
In compiling this 'Guide' with such a wide ranging remit regarding flying sites, I sometimes need to pick up on sources about which I have no idea if they are reliable. Many reports, I am sure, are compiled by well meaning people. But, as the old saying goes: "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."

And to think, I only included this site just to make the point that are a considerable number of private helipads in the UK, and, I have no intention whatsover of attempting to list them - but just to list a few examples. So, this one back-fired on me and I still cannot think why I didn't press the delete button so time ago. The problem being that I do like a challenge. If anybody could be kind enough to offer advice on this site, this will be most welcome.
