Note: I cannot remember who sent me this map, obviously from a pilots flight guide. (I will be more than happy to add the copyright). Probably it was to illustrate what a most unusual runway layout this private airfield has, with all three runways orientated in the NW to SE sectors. This is doubly odd because in the UK, by and large, the prevailing winds are from the SW, but I do realise that local conditions do vary quite considerably. However, there must be another reason for having three runways so closely aligned. Can anybody explain?

Runways: 01/19   610x36   grass           18/36   505x30   grass

2007:  13/31   365   grass         17/35   355   grass

In 2013 three runways were available: 13/31   365x30   grass           14/32   510x15   grass
                                                          17/35   360x15   grass

2017:  13/31   445   grass             17/35   355   grass

NOTES: In 2001 it was planned to extend runway  01/19 to 690x36.

Large model aircraft also use this site, some up to half-size apparently and a few jet powered.

ANOTHER HOLLYM
Not so far to the west there is another private airfield, just north of the village of Hollym. This I have listed as HOLLYM west.
