ALG {Advanced Landing Ground]     402 (RCAF) Sqdn   (Vickers-Supermarine Spitfires)
 

Location: E of Smallfield village, 6nm SE of Redhill

Period of operation: 1944 only
 

Runways: Steel matting. NE/SW   1463   grass           NW/SE   1463   grass


NOTES: Most if not all the ALG's in the southern part of England were put in place to assist the D-Day landings and then to support the campaign as it progressed towards Germany.
