Note:  These three pictures are from my Google Earth © derived database.

Operated by:  Mr  J F Pennington

Location:  Just S and W of Hurdletree Bank Road, about 2.5nm SSW of Holbeach town centre and roughly 5,5nm ESE of Spalding town centre

Period of operation:  Unknown?  Almost certainly it would appear, from 1966 to 1981

Runway:  Unknown?  The line on the first picture above is purely my guess - this being 18/36   650 (max)   grass

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide' to thank for pointing out this location. He has notes showing that two aircraft were known to have been based here. The first is the Beagle A.61 Terrier 1, G-ASZX (ex WJ368, Army Air Corps, & SE-ELO). A rummage around on the inter-web reveals that three co-owners, all with addresses in Spalding, (including Mr Pennington), had G-ASZX registered to them from 29.06.66 until 12.06.75.

The second is the Auster AOP.9 G-AVXY (ex XK417, presumably Army Air Corps). This was registered to Mr Roger Windley from 04.03.81 until 22.12.81.

As always in this 'Guide', if anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be most welcome. Pictures are of course always much appreciated.
