IVYBRIDGE: Military airstrip

Military user: US First Army ‘V’ Corps        58th Armoured Field Artillery Division
 

Location: Near to the modern A38 trunk road and Ivybridge village, roughly 10nm ENE of Plymouth city centre

Period of operation: 1944/5 only?

 

NOTES: It appears that two Piper L-4 Grasshoppers were based here.
