NOTES:  Just imagine my amazement to find that I didn't have this well known airstrip listed - and this was in May 2021! How could this be possible?

One obvious explanation of course is that it is so familiar, I had simply assumed I must have listed it. Have I missed any others on the same basis I now wonder?

A FOND PERSONAL MEMORY

In February 2009, Angela Soper hired me to transport her fathers much loved de Havilland DH94 Moth Minor Coupe, G-AFOJ, from the De Havilland Museum at SALISBURY HALL, back to their airstrip. This was so her then ailing father could one again see it in its former surroundings. A lovely and most generous gesture.

Angela told me that he often took her flying as a youngster in G-AFOJ and was inspired to gain her ATPL and have a career as an airline pilot.
