Location:  S of the A40 at Headington, about 2nm NE of Oxford city centre

Period of operation:  Unknown?

NOTES:  We have Mr Christopher Lally to thank for pointing out this 'Helipad 1' location in October 2022.

However, when I came to producing some pictures, it soon became clear that the site had two helipads! So, clearly, a delve into the interweb was needed. It transpires that the main helipad, (Helipad 1) was closed for operations due to nearby building works, and would be relocated. This work starting in February 2021. Meanwhile a temporary helipad, (Helipad 2), had been laid out, potentially to be used for around two years.

The air ambulance helicopters are based at RAF BENSON.
