Operated by: Mr Ike Stow (Early 1990s at least)

Location: 2.5nm N of Matfen, 9nm NE of Hexham town centre, 10nm WNW of Newcastle airport

Period of operation: Possibly from 1980s to circa 2010?

Runway: E/W   550x18   grass

NOTES: I have a copy of a film made in the early 1990s about grass strip flying and it appears that the Piper PA-15 Vagabond G-BTOT and the Piper J-3 Cub G-BRIL were based here. Was the Piper J-3 Cub G-AJAO also based here? Or was it visiting from HUNDAY FARM perhaps?

If anybody can kindly offer advice on this subject, it will be most welcome.
