Kings Field

Note: This map only shows the position of Chiseldon village within the UK. If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be much appreciated.

KINGS FIELD: Private airstrip

Location: In or near Chiseldon

Period of operation: 1970s only?

NOTES: It is highly tempting to imagine this site later became DRAYCOTT FARM but failing any evidence to support this notion to date I’ll keep it a separate entry.

In the mid 1970s it appears the following were based here: Piper PA.22 Colt 108 G-ARKR, Beagle A.61 Terrier G-ARNO, Jodel DR.1050/MI Sicile Record G-AYYT, M.S. 893A Rallye Commodore G-BAAI and Luton L.A.4a Minor G-BCFY.
