Lains Farm

Note: This map gives just a rough location for the airstrip.

LAINS FARM: Private airstrip

Location: Just S of the A303, less than 0.5 nm S  of THRUXTON aerodrome

Period of operation: 2000 (?) to -

Runway: 2008     08/26  760   grass

NOTES: I’ve come across a mention saying this strip has/had a pretty long runway – about 800 metres – and certainly operational in the early 2000s. Can anybody confirm this or add more information? It seems the Robin DR.400/160 G-BAHL was/is based here. At Flying  For Fun in 2006 at KEMBLE Mr Mark Newman flew in with Robin DR400 G-BGWC  from LAINS FARM.
