LAMBERHURST FARM:   Private airfield, perhaps a gyroplane and/or microlight airstrip?

Location: Just SE Highstreet which is S of the A299, SSW of Yorkletts, about 0.5nm NE of Dargate and about 4.5nm NW of Canterbury city centre

Period of operation:  Circa 2000 to -

Runways:  2003:   13/31   910   grass

2009:  13/31   310(?)   grass             04/22   220   grass
Note:  There appears no obvious practical connection between these two runways. See Google Earth picture.

Circa 2012:    13/31   460   grass           04/22   350   grass

NOTES: Initial info source:   AAIB report EW/G2012/08/10

The evolution of the runways on this site are certainly unusual, and it would appear that the original runway was laid out to accept a twin? It was very soon shortened for use, typically by microlight types, the first 04/22 runway being quite narrow with turning circles at both ends.

I was quite surprised, looking at many Google Earth pictures, that I couldn't find one with an aircraft in view. If anybody can kindly offer advice this will be most welcome.
