Laurel Farm

LAUREL FARM: Temporary aerodrome

Operated by: Alan Cobham Tours

NOTES: The 1932 itinenary of the Alan Cobham National Aviation Day UK Display Tour gives their 90th venue, (22nd July 1932), as Laurel Farm, North Repps, Cromer.

On the 31st August Cobhams’s 1934 Tour displayed in/near Cromer, using the same site?

The spelling of North Repps has since changed to Northrepps and is of course better known in aviation circles because of NORTHREPPS airfield. But, did they use the same site as the present day airfield?

After some investigation it appears that the Cobham tour used a site on Laurel Farm just to the north of the present day airfield. But, just how large was Laurel Farm? There is obviously something to be sorted out here and if anybody could kindly advise on the subject, this will be most welcome.
