Note: This map shows the position of Cubbington Road, but, can anybody kindly offer a more exact location? More information regarding this site will certainly be appreciated too. And indeed, was the location used for a time as an aerodrome?

NOTES: Used by the Berkshire Aviation Co in November 1919, possibly the same site as listed below?

LEAMINGTON SPA: Civil aerodrome

Location: Flying Field, Cubbington Road, roughly 2 to 2.5nm NNE or NE of Leamington Spa

Period of operation: 1932 certainly? Probably until 1939

A BIT MORE INFO
In July 2023, Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide, tells us that the Spartan Three Seater Mk.II, G-ACAF was based here. Registered here from 07.06.35 until 01.01.39, it appears it was actually scrapped here during 1938. Later, in December 2023, Graham discovered that the de Havilland DH60G Gipsy Moth, G-AAFI, was based here from the 8th January 1935 until 13.01.41. It was registered to The Leamington Spa, Warwick District Aero Club, and was impressed as DG579 on 13.01.41. Later, he discovered that the Aero Club had acquired another DH60G Gipsy Moth, G-AAHG, registered 11.06.38. This being also impressed on 13.01.41 as DG580.

I have yet to discover what the RAF did with all these Gipsy Moths during WW2?
