LEAPOOL:  Private airstrip

Aerial view in 2004

Note:  This picture was obtained from Google Earth ©

Location:  E of the A60, W of the A614, and about 5nm N of Nottingham city centre

Period of operation:  ?

Runway (2004):   18/36   780   grass

NOTES:  The Google Earth picture taken in 2004 appears to show very clear evidence of this airstrip. Several pictures taken from 1999 to 2018 also appear to show some evidence - in part at least. Could it be that this airstrip is only mown for limited operations from time to time, or perhaps only used in the summer?

780 metres is a good length for a private airstrip and would appear to indicate use by a typical four-seat or even six-seat GA type. Single engine or twin.

If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be much appreciated.
