Leebotwood

Note: This map only gives a rough position within the UK. If anybody can kindly offer advice on a more exact location, this will be most welcome.

LEEBOTWOOD: Private airstrip     (Aka CHURCH STRETTON)

Operated by: Mr M E Stone?

Location: A bit tricky this as one airfield guide says it is E of the A49 less than I mile N of Church Stretton. But Leebotwood village, (on the A49), is at least 2.5nm N of Church Stretton so why call the strip LEEBOTWOOD as opposed to naming it after Church Stretton (which some do) as it would seem to make more sense?

Period of operation: 1970s & 1980s only?

NOTES: In the mid 1970s it seems that only the Morane-Saulnier MS880B Rallye Club G-AXHS was based here.
