Leek and Moorland Model Gliding Association

LEEK and MOORLAND MODEL GLIDING ASSOCIATION:  Multiple flying sites

Map of flying sites
Map of flying sites

It appears, in 2020 at least, this Association had seven flying sites.

NOTES:  This entry goes strictly against the terms I'd set myself for this 'Guide'. Which was to try and identify individual flying sites.

But the longer I researched the subject, the broader the terms of reference became. So it seemed pretty clear I needed to add this example.

However, going back to basics, the early history of fixed wing aviation mostly came about with model gliders. And, as I understand it, the latest model gliders are well up to the performance of the most advanced full-scale examples.
