Litchborough

LITCHBOROUGH: Military Landing Ground

Military user: RFC  (Royal Flying Corps)

75 [Home Defence] Sqdn   (Royal Aircraft Factory BE.2c, BE.2e and later FE.2b)

Location: In/near Litchborough village, about 2nm W of the A5, 6nm SE of Daventry

Period of operation: October 1916 to March 1917

NOTES: Used as a night Landing Ground only by 75 Sqdn. I do wonder just how often many of these WW1 night Landing Grounds were actually used?
