Note:  All four of these pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©

Location: W of the A1088, just NW of Norton and about 6.5nm ENE of Bury St Edmunds town centre

Period of operation:  Since the late 1990s(?)  to -

Runways:   This site is one of the most interesting I have come across. Unusual of not unique in its own way. The 2000 picture above clearly shows just a 03/21 runway of about 355 metres.

Then a serious airfield appears with two main runways:
11/29   765   grass               08/26   835   grass
But, with the original 03/21 runway still visible.  (See the 2007 picture)

This said, the 2008 picture appears to show scant evidence of the 03/21 runway being in use.

However, the 2018 picture appears to show the 03/21 runway as being well defined. This said, was it now being used just as a taxiway?

NOTES:  As always in this 'Guide', if anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be much appreciated.
