Llandudno flying sites

Note: This map only gives the position for Llandudno town within the UK. As mentioned below, if anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be much appreciated.

LLANDUDNO see also PENRHYN BAY

LLANDUDNO see also RHOS-on-SEA, DENBIGHSHIRE / CONWY

LLANDUDNO: Civil aerodrome (aka LLANDUDNO & NORTH WALES AERODROME)

NOTES: The reason for having this seperate entry for Llandudno flying sites is simply because, unlike the beach site (see seperate LLANDUDNO entry) is simply because I cannot find convincing evidence of exactly where these sites were positioned.

Could this, and even the site listed below, actually have been nearby RHOS-on-SEA then situated in DENBIGHSHIRE? In his excellent book British Built Aircraft Vol.5 Ron Smith states that, “A Short-Wright biplane and a Farman biplane were reported to be flying at the Llandudno and North Wales Aerodrome in August 1911.” Any advice on this will be most welcome.

LLANDUDNO: Temporary aerodrome

Operated by: Alan Cobham’s 1935 display tour

Location: ?

Period of operation: The 6th and 7th August 1935
