Loch Harray

Note: This map only gives the position of Loch of Harray within the UK. If anybody could kindly provide a more exact location for this airstrip, this advice will be much appreciated.

LOCH HARRAY: Private airstrip

Operated by: Mr A Howard?

Location: Loch of Harray is a big Loch situated on the Orkney ‘Mainland’ NNW of Stromness but where this strip was located I’ve yet to discover

Period of operation: 1970s only?

NOTES: It appears that in the mid 1970s the Grumman AA-5 Traveller G-BBDL was based at LOCH HARRAY.
