LONG EATON: Temporary aerodrome?

Location: Wilsthorpe Lane, Long Eaton

Period of operation: 16th September 1935

NOTES: Did Cobham’s No.1 Tour in 1933 also use this site for their display on the 4^th June? Also did Cobham’s No.2 Tour use this site when visiting Long Eaton on the 20^th June 1933?

Today (2017) I cannot find a Wilsthorpe Lane, but there is a Wilsthorpe Road, and, with a fairly large park alongside, this would have been an ideal venue in those days.
