Is it just my imagination, or am I correct in thinking we have, and have had, more helicopter operations, both private and commercial than any other country in Europe? Possibly second only to the USA?

Without much doubt, from the commercial side, this has been led by helicopter support services to the North Sea oil and gas rigs. But, what may not be widely known is that the larger support vessels also have helipads installed. And here are a couple of examples.
