LUDLOW: Military airstrip/airfield
Note: The local view was obtained from Google Earth ©. The area view is from my Google Earth © derived database.
Military user: US First Army 32nd Field Artillery Brigade
Location: On the present racecourse and golf links, just N of the A49, 2nm NW of Ludlow town centre
Period of operation: 1944/45 only?
Notes: Twelve Piper L-4 Grasshoppers were based here so it was a pretty major sort of US Army camp/depot at the time. Does anybody now know where it was situated?
