Operated by: Roundwood Estates

2001: Mr G G Boot

Location: 4nm NNW of Folkestone, 7nm S of Canterbury

Period of operation: 1990s (?) to 2014

Runway: 06/24   440   grass

NOTES:  Presumably Mr G G Boot was better known as Geoff Boot, who some years ago was a regular contributor to Flyer magazine. It has been alleged that this and being a flying instructor was mostly a cover for his main business of being an arms dealer. This said, he made no secret of regularly flying to the Isle of Man. So perhaps the rumours were true?

Be that as it may, any advice regarding this airstrip will be most welcome. Plus, an airstrip with a runway as short as this seems highly unsuitable for the two types I know he owned.
