Main Hall
MAIN HALL: Private airfield (aka MAIN HALL FARM)
Location: Near Conington
Note: This picture shows the taxiway which can (and has apparently) also been used as a runway.
Runway: 09/27 750 grass
2006: 09/27 860 grass (From Google Earth)
NOTES: First info source, AAIB report EW/G2009/03/05 where the runway length was given as “about 700 metres”. A mention in Light Aviation magazine in February 2012 gives the runway length as 750 metres. Runway lengths do vary over years, sometimes quite a lot, for a variety of reasons. On a visit some years ago I learnt that the taxiway north of the 09/27 runway has been used as a runway and that is orientated 17/35 and is probably 425 metres long.

Note: All pictures by the author unless specified. The first picture is of the Corben Baby Ace Model D, G-BUAA, which I was delighted to see in flying condition as I had collected it from EASTBACH (SPENCE) AIRFIELD in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, probably in 2005.
