Note: All four of these pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©

Location: Just W of MANSTON aerodrome/airport

Period of operation: Unknown? Possibly up to around 2013 or thereabouts?

NOTES:  This is a location I know nothing about. Despite having landed at MANSTON several times in a light aircraft, and delivering air freight in my truck.

The Google Earth © pictures above clearly shows the facility being defunct in 2009, but opened up again for a short period around 2013. Later pictures on Google Earth © clearly indicate (?) that this site was no longer being used for helicopter operations.

Note: Within hours of posting this listing in January 2022, the ever vigilant Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', pointed out that I'd missed another helipad on this site. The one belonging to Summit Aviation on the SE side of the site, just N of Spitfire Way, (B2190). Perhaps of some interest is that Google Earth © shows no evidence of this helipad in 2013.

As always in this 'Guide' if anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be most welcome. Plus of course, pictures are much appreciated.
