MARLBOROUGH: Possible temporary landing site?
NOTES: See WORMWOOD SCRUBS, (LONDON), for a fuller account. In May 1913 it was expected that Henri Salmet, embarking on an aeroplane tour of England sponsored by the Daily Mail, would probably be “making a halt at MARLBOROUGH,” en route from READING to BATH. Is there any evidence this happened? It does seem probable that he stopped off at TAPLOW when flying from WORMWOOD SCRUBS to READING
