Location:  Just SW of Staplow, 2.5nm NW of Ledbury town centre and about 13nm SW of Worcester city centre

Period of operation:  1990s (?) to c.2007/8


Runway:   07/25   350   grass

NOTES:   This picture is an excellent example of how, despite being ploughed up, the existence of the airstrip is stll clearly visible.

Although fuzzy, I think the aircraft in the detail picture above is a DHC.1 Chipmunk? If correct I have not heard of the Chipmunk being regarded as a good short field performer. But again, if correct, the pilot clearly had no problems operating from a 350 metre strip.
