Marsden

Note: This map only shows the position of Marsden village within the UK. If anybody could kindly offer a more exact location, this advice will be most welcome.

MARSDEN: Private landing ground

Operated by: Lady Norman (Presumably was Lady Florence Priscilla Norman who was a trustee of the Imperial War Musuem founded in 1917?)

Location: The village of Marsden is on the A435 about 5nm N of Cirencester

Period of operation: 1928 only?

NOTES: A picture was published in Flight in 1960 of a group of people standing before some of their aircraft in Lady Norman’s grounds at “Marsden, Glos” in 1928.

What I also find of interest is that this location is just to the west, more or less, of RENDCOMBE airfield.
