Note:  The first two pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©. The area view is from my Google Earth © derived database.

Location:  Just SSE of Rowlands Castle,about 2nm NE of Havant town centre and roughly 8.5nm NE of Portsmouth city centre

Period of operation:  Unknown ?

Runway:  02/20   325   grass

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this location. I have decided to describe it as being in HAMPSHIRE, but it does appear to be almost smack on the boundary with SUSSEX.

The 2005 picture above does show clear signs of an airstrip. But, this field does appear to be the only one, trawling back through Google Earth, to have not been ploughed up for agriculture. So, possibly still used? I can see no obvious signs of a hangar, and therefore imagine it has been, (or still is?), for use by visiting aircraft.

If anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
